Management Accountant (UK)

The role

PrivateFly is looking for a Management Accountant to join our growing team. This is a full-time role based in our UK head office in St Albans.

This role will be reporting into our Finance Manager and will be responsible for overall accountability for preparing, developing and applying findings to PrivateFly’s financial reports.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Producing financial statements; including profit and loss accounts, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Overseeing VAT and FET returns
  • Business partnering with relevant managers within the company to provide financial support and information
  • Period end deliverables, posting journals and carrying out insightful analysis to explain movements in key numbers
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis at the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer’s request
  • Mentoring and providing support to the Accountancy team

The successful candidate

  • You will be part qualified or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant with a solid experience of financial modelling and data manipulation skills
  • You should feel confident working in a dynamic fast paced atmosphere and calm under pressure
  • You will be an engaging individual with a can-do attitude, who is comfortable working on your own as well as part of team
  • You will be self-motivated, flexible and able to work on own initiative

Head of Business Development - Maternity leave cover (UK)

The role

PrivateFly is looking for a Head of Business Development to join our team as a maternity cover on a 12-month contract.

This is a full-time contract role based in our offices in St Albans.

The Head of Business Development is responsible for managing the Company’s business development process ensuring consistent growth from new business opportunities across all channels.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Help to shape a business development strategy to acquire clients efficiently and in a scalable way
  • Generate new business leads and bookings to meet set goals and targets
  • Identifying and building relations with appropriate strategic clients and partners
  • Provide market feedback to the PrivateFly leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate business development ideas
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of PrivateFly’s business plans and the penetration of new sectors
  • Represent PrivateFly at relevant senior meetings, conferences and partner and client meetings
  • Account managing current partnership program and developing business volumes with agent partners
  • Internal reporting on performance of partnerships and commission payments
  • Oversee and manage workload with the Business Development Executive, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are dealt with
  • Lead and motivate the Business Development Executive to ensure high performance and ultimate job satisfaction
  • Work with US-based Business Development Executive to coordinate on sector responsibility
  • Liaise with all the relevant business units including Finance, Sales, Marketing and HR to ensure business operating compliance (such as GDPR) and overall strategic alignment
  • Work in partnership with flight sales team in improving conversion

The successful candidate

  • You will have significant experience in business development, preferably in the aviation industry
  • You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and identify strategic and critical issues whilst remaining flexible and adaptive
  • You will have deep knowledge of selling consultatively
  • You will have extensive experience in building a pipeline and qualifying opportunities

The role

PrivateFly is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our growing team. This is a full-time role based in our UK head office in St Albans.

This role will be working alongside the Head of Business Development to generate new enquiries and bookings via pro-active outreach to warm prospects and new business contacts.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Acquiring new corporate accounts and/or partnerships
  • Cold calling potential customers and building relationships
  • Account management and arranging meeting with customers
  • Attending industry sector events to generate business leads
  • Targeting key industries and attending conferences and networking events
  • Researching the market and identifying potential target customers
  • Proactively following up incoming leads to explore further opportunities and encourage referrals
  • Warm up lapsed clients to result in returning business
  • Handling incoming and ongoing partner accounts with travel industry and other agents

As part of our expansion, the company is looking for junior Sales Executives to join our dynamic Flight Team based in St Albans, Herts.

You will be the ‘mission control’ in our high tech business. This is a varied role that will, at times, carry large amounts of responsibility. The core of the job will be selling private jet flights to international high net worth clients, both online and offline, and co-ordinating aircraft movements with our registered aircraft operators.
